LED diya and light styling

Use enclosed LED diyas to create a warm Dussehra light arrangement on a shelf or wide console.

  • Easy with adult help
  • About 15 min
  • Use what you own; check local prices
  • 6 steps

Use enclosed LED diyas to create a warm Dussehra light arrangement on a shelf or wide console. A short repeated line gives a cleaner result than scattering lights through walking areas. This decoration works especially well with painted diyas and can be packed away for another festival.

Keep ready

  • Enclosed LED lamps
  • Tray
  • Reusable stands
  • Cloth

How to do it

  1. 1Choose a sideboard rather than a walking route.
  2. 2Wipe the tray and lamps.
  3. 3Arrange lamps at different heights on stable stands.
  4. 4Switch on and inspect loose wires or battery covers.
  5. 5Turn off before leaving the room.
  6. 6Look at the arrangement with the room lights dimmed, then restore normal lighting for guests who need it. Switch off and pack the LEDs after use.

Helpful tips 💡

  • No floor trails across routes; secure batteries away from children.
  • Keep stairs and walking routes clear. Place the lights along a shelf or console instead, with no trailing cables or objects near the edge.

Plan ahead

Check four to six LED lights and their secured battery compartments before styling. Choose a stable display surface with room around each holder and keep spare batteries inaccessible to children.
