Planning day numbers and lunar tithis are different. In the Delhi reference, 18 October is Saptami; Mahagauri Puja and Durga Ashtami are listed on 19 October, and Navami Homa and parana on 20 October. Use the local observance date when scheduling a ritual or ending a fast.
